Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 slices cheddar, quartered
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 large zucchini, sliced 1/2" thick
- Sliced tomato, for serving
- Pickles, for serving
- Mustard, for serving
- Ketchup, for serving
Directions
- Step 1Shape beef into 12 equally sized patties, about 2” wide. Using your finger, press a shallow indent into the center of each burger. Season both sides of each patty liberally with salt and pepper.
- Step 2Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Grill burgers until seared, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Top burgers with cheese. Meanwhile, grill zucchini slices until charred and tender, about 3 minutes per side.
- Step 3 Arrange burger patties in between grilled zucchini with tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Secure with toothpick.
