The premise is, as originally reported, centered around a 50th birthday party to wine country among friends. "Yet as the alcohol flows, real world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures," the trailer's description notes.

Original post, 3/26/19: Amy Poehler will make her directorial debut with the May 10 release of Wine Country, the Netflix original that not only stars six of her Saturday Night Live Pals but is inspired by the tight-knit group's IRL girls trip antics.
Alongside BFF and frequent collaborator, Maya Rudolph, and fellow SNL alums Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, and Emily Spivey, Poehler's comedy follows a group of longtime besties on a birthday trip to Napa. The flick, which naturally includes a few hilarious Tina Fey cameos, is based entirely around the co-stars own travel experiences, including a real-life vacation to wine country for Dratch's 50th and a Palm Springs adventure for Gasteyer. The script was also written by Spivey and another SNL-er, Liz Cackowski.
"There's just not enough films that take full advantage of what it's like to be our age and to be around women that have known you for a really long time but aren't competing for the same job or the same guy," Poehler told Vanity Fair in March. So, that's exactly what she did—create a film that explores friendship and aging in the same lighthearted manner we've all come to expect from the Parks and Rec vet. Which also means, you'll probably laugh, cry, and get wine drunk right alongside the characters.
Calling her friends the "greatest, funniest performers," it wasn't just the story Poehler wanted to tell. It was also their talents she wanted to highlight. "That was part of the delicious goal of this," she says of the decision to work together. "We already have this common language where we can set each other up," Rudolph adds.
The best part about a straight-to-Netflix release? You won't have to sneak your Pinot into the theater. Grab a bottle and your besties, and pass the popcorn.
