Pancakes are arguably the best brunch food. Whether you share a stack with the table or take a whole plate down on your own, there's something SO satisfying about them. The latest pancake craze comes all the way from Japan, and these things are IMPRESSIVE. Taiyaki NYC is serving them up in Chinatown, and people can't get enough.

The secret is in the fluffy batter. A whipped egg white mixture is added to traditional pancake batter to give it a light, almost cloud-like texture. The result? Pancakes that are tall, plump, and oh so jiggly.

Here's the catch: The pancakes are only available Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—so you have to act quick! But don't expect to be in and out—the place is known for having an hours-long line. Our best advice is just to show up early....and trust us when we say the wait is well worth it.
