If nothing else, restaurants have become cheekier this year. Last month, we reported on a café that serves free coffee but charges you for the time you spend inside. Meanwhile, a Beijing restaurant made headlines this summer for making customers solve math problems to figure out each dish's price. And now we've got another sassy eatery on our radar: a Thai restaurant in Texas that's going viral for creating a "free" wifi password from a complicated mathematical equation.

Posted by Reddit user Joshua_Glock, the equation was drafted up at YaYa's Thai Restaurant in San Antonio, TX. And we have to admit it has a lot going on—exponents, summation sigma, and what looks like three variables: n, m, and p. "I'm determined to join their network. Where the math wizards at?" he wrote on the thread.

Commenters are going wild over this photo, sharing their theories for what type of equation it is, how best to solve it, and which so-called answers to plug into the password field. "It's definitely binomial cumulative distribution function" one commenter wrote.

Another did some sleuthing and discovered that Yelp lists the restaurant as not having wifi at the time of the Reddit post. And then there are other naysayers, one of whom wrote, "Honestly, there doesn't appear to be anything to solve. It's not a question so much as an incorrect statement (at worst)."

To be frank, this whole thing is driving Redditors—and the rest of the internet—crazy. Some people are even calling the restaurant owners trolls for doing such a thing.

So if you can work some Good Will Hunting magic and solve this seemingly impossible puzzle, please do everyone a favor and let Joshua_Glock know ASAP. Then we can all lay this infuriating problem to rest. (Seriously, this thing is worse than that damn pizza word problem!)
