Oreo has confirmed that Waffles & Syrup Oreos are real, and that they're coming soon. A company spokesman told Delish that the flavor will be available the week of May 8, exclusively at Albertson's for $4.49. We will update this post once we can get our hands on some and see if the inevitable flavor frenzy is worth it.

Oreo never lets us down when it comes to releasing crazy new flavors. It seems like nothing is off-limits—no matter how wack-a-doo something sounds, it'll probably work in Oreo form. We already heard that Fireworks Oreos could be hitting stores by May, but if the rumors are true, we might be getting two more new flavors this summer, and you're not going to want to miss out on these limited edition cookies.
CandyHunting reported two new Oreo flavors in addition to the Fireworks flavor on their Instagram page, and we can't decide which one we're more stoked for. First up, there's Mississippi Mud Pie, which is the classic Oreo cookie with chocolate and whipped cream flavored cream inside. If you're a fan of Oreo pie crusts, then this cookie is where it's at.
But even better than Oreo + pie is the ability to eat Oreos for breakfast, which is why we're so stoked on the fact that Waffles + Syrup is the second rumored new flavor. R.I.P. your waffle iron.
There's no official word on whether these are actually happening, but if so, we could expect to see them filing up the junk food aisle around the time the Fireworks Oreos hit, possibly as early as May.
We'll update this post as soon as we know more, but if we're all being played here, we'll just keep on topping our waffles with Oreos.
