Did I think that I would be writing about a rubber chicken purse when I woke up this morning? No, no I did not. And yet, here I am. Little did I know that the Internet is 100%, without a doubt obsessed with this "hen handbag" you can find on Amazon for just $33.

With novelty handbags like the JW Anderson pigeon clutch and Puppets and Puppets cookie bag going viral left and right, it should come as no surprise that #ChickenTok (Yes, that's a thing.) fell in love with this wacky Amazon find. The hen bag has amassed over 24 million views on TikTok, with fans ranging from Gen Z's coastal cowgirls to handbag collectors and literal chicken farmers. It even has its own Instagram account.

Complete with a beak, feathers and a wattle and comb, it looks as though you decided to carry around an actual chicken. Except this chicken has a spacious interior and sturdy top handles that make for a surprisingly practical purse. It's made from the same material as a rubber chicken, so it can easily be wiped clean, too.

While plenty of TikTokers are purchasing the handbag for themselves, even more are buying it as a gag gift for a friend or family member who loves chickens. “I bought this hilarious birthday gift for my mom who’s a fan of collecting chickens, roosters, and everything that’s country-related,” writes one Amazon reviewer. “When she opened the present, she had a huge smile on her face and everyone around her was laughing.”

"Purchased this as a gift for a chicken-obsessed friend," writes another. "Not only was it funny, but she kept getting compliments on it when she took it out in public! It's a statement piece for sure, but also pretty functional as a handbag. Highly recommended as a memorable gift."

Let it be known, those fearless enough to carry the Amazon chicken purse are more than just trendsetters. They're part of a fun online community that doesn't take itself—or fashion—too seriously. And for just $33, you can join the fun!
