While most parents scour toy stores, desperately searching for Hatchimals, pickle-lovers (and friends/family of said brined-cuke aficionados) everywhere are on a similar, Jingle All the Way-esque hunt—for pickle-flavored candy canes. The treats took the Internet by storm, creating an array of reactions (from the "OMG, take my money!" to complete horror and disgust), but in proving no publicity is bad publicity, the candy has been selling out everywhere.

It's been recently restocked on Amazon, and you can also buy boxes on eBay and at Oldies.com. Candy Warehouse, Archie McPhee and Walmart are currently out of stock, as of this posting, and it's unclear whether it will be back in stores in time to ship for Christmas.

For those who don't like sweets, the holidays can be a tough time. From gingerbread cookies to chocolate everything, Christmas treats are everywhere. So what's a non-dessert lover to do? One solution: pickle candy canes.

That's right, the official candy of Christmas and your favorite tangy snack have joined forces to create a unique holiday treat.

Sold on Amazon for a bargain price of $8.90, reviewers seem to agree that the pickle flavor is subtle at best. That might be a bit disappointing for devoted pickle lovers, but it's probably for the best. More than likely, the world isn't ready for its go-to stocking stuffer to taste as if it came straight out of a pickle jar.

Still, we're putting these unique treats on our Christmas list, if for nothing more than the fact that they make great gag gifts. Speaking of, the maker of these candy canes also sells them in bacon, Sriracha, wasabi, and gravy varieties, Scary Mommy first reported.

But fair warning: Don't be surprised if you get coal in next year's Christmas stocking if you gift someone gravy-flavored candy canes.
